Complete the online application form by clicking the link at right. You may save your work and return to it later to complete the application form. With this form, you will submit your personal and educational information, identify the program for which you are
applying and upload your essay requirements (see below for essay information). Within two business days after
submitting your application, you will receive a login and password for this portal that will allow you to keep track of the status of
your application. Once you have submitted the initial application, proceed with the following steps:
1 - Submit the Personal Statement Essay
Write a 500-word statement that describes the
work of an artist(s), design business(es), design manager(s), or designer(s)
that inspires you. Also briefly describe why you would like the opportunity to
pursue an education in art and design at Paris College of Art.
2 - Submit Transcripts of Previous Studies
Send all secondary school and/or college
transcripts to the Admissions Office. Those who have already earned a
bachelor’s degree prior to applying for admission to Paris College of Art are not
required to submit secondary school transcripts. All other applicants must
submit secondary school transcripts.
3 - Submit Test Scores: SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS
All applicants for whom English is not their
native language must submit results of either the TOEFL exam (the Test of
English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing
System). The minimum scores required for regular admission are: 92 on the TOEFL
IBT exam or 6.5 band score on the IELTS exam. Those whose scores fall between
60 and 91 on the TOEFL IBT exam or 5.0 and 6.0 on the IELTS exam will be
considered for entry with the English for International Students (EIS)
requirement (see “Special Condition Admissions” above for more information). To

be sent directly to Paris College of Art.
Degree seeking applicants that are currently
enrolled at an American high school must submit either the SAT or ACT exam
results; our CEEB code is 4627.
4 - Schedule a Personal Interview
All Degree and Certificate Program applicants
must have a personal interview either in-person or by telephone. Visiting Student applicants are
encouraged to schedule an interview though they are not required to do so.

Interviews can be completed at any time during
the admissions process as some applicants would like to receive feedback before
submitting their final materials. During the interview, Admissions Counselors
will ask questions about the applicant’s academic history, portfolio and essay
requirements. They will also
answer questions about the admissions process and general inquires about PCA.
In addition, your program may require supplementary application materials as follows:
BFA APPLICANTS (FRESHMAN AND TRANSFER)
All BFA Applicants are required to submit a portfolio of 10 to 20 images. Applicants are encouraged to submit their best and most recently
completed work showing a range of technical skills and creativity. The Admissions Committee is particularly interested in how applicants research and communicate their ideas. The portfolio can contain any combination of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, installation art, video, photography, sound, motion graphics, communication design, fashion design, illustration, etc. Applicants are encouraged to carefully edit their portfolio considering the arrangement and order of their work.
BFA Transfer applicants are encouraged to submit works that align with the area of study for which they are applying. To submit your portfolio, go to parisedu.slideroom.com, create your own login and password and upload your work in the "add media
section". If you are unable to use Slideroom to submit your visual work, contact the admissions office to discuss other forms of submission.

Write a one-page essay analyzing a well-designed
everyday object, product, building, publication, advertisement or software.
Explain why you think your chosen subject is well designed. You may consider
its purpose and effectiveness, sustainability and environmental impact, as well
as the social implications.In the
body of the essay, please include a visual reference of your chosen subject by
